St Mary's - Church Online
You can join our online live worship led by Richard Hamby and Marie Landry, who plays the music, at 10am on Sunday mornings. The words, prayers and songs are put on our Facebook page the day before so you can easily follow along. The services are also posted afterwards on Facebook and Youtube and as a Podcast.
The worship starts with a musical introduction, then an informal morning prayer service with music - everything from traditional hymns to You Say by Lauren Daigle to the Prayer of St Francis by Sarah McLauchlan to Bob Dylan, linked with prayer and reflections and all aimed at helping us all interpret who God is and what this means to our lives.
We know the characteristic worship of St Mary's is an important part of people's lives, and even before COVID we were developing online offerings to help those who couldn't physically get to church stay connected, and we're evolving this week-by-week to use the digital media to keep us all in touch with God.
And if you like the online worship, don't worry, we'll keep it going even after we return to physical church
Who we are
From wherever we are on our path, we are a community open to worshipping God, learning and experiencing who He is, letting him change us as individuals and as a community, and living out that change in care for others and the world.
In non-COVID times our normal Sunday worship is a quiet, traditional 8:30 service with music and a 10:00 service with age appropriate kids program and contemporary music led by the music director, Marie Landry.
At the moment, our worship is adapted for live streaming at 10am on Facebook, or you can catch it later. We're aiming for a in-person service in September.
There are (were!) times when we come together for meals or activities (often with a social justice theme), and small groups for prayer, study, or just to get together. Recently we've been supporting World Vision in a 6k walk for water., and activities and groups for young people and families have been continuing online
Check out the Facebook page for the latest information on what's going on. If you are interested, it would be great to meet you. Feel free to message, email or call and we will be happy to talk, or check out the Facebook page from the link above for current news.
The picture? It represents that it can be a lonely walk at the moment, and in that it's our aim to help keep you connected with each other and God.
