ST. MARY'S, KIRKLAND
Be the Change, Change the World
Be a part of that change. Find us at 75 Kirkland Blvd. Kirkland, QC. We gather on Sundays at 8h30 and 10h00.
From wherever we are on our path, we are a community open to worshipping God, learning and experiencing who He is, letting him change us as individuals and as a community, and living out that change in care for others and the world.
If you are interested, it would be great to meet you. Feel free to message, email or call and we will be happy to talk, or check out the Facebook page from the link above for current news.
At our Sunday worship, we have a quiet, traditional 8:30 service with music and a 10:00 service with age appropriate kids program and contemporary music led by the music director, Marie Landry.
Can’t make it to church this week but would still like some spiritual content? The Sunday sermon is posted weekly! (Of course, this does not replace the joy of meeting together! But it might just give you a few ideas for this week...)
There are times when we come together for meals or activities (often with a social justice theme), and small groups for prayer, study, or just to get together.
Check out the Facebook page for the latest information on what's going on.
VIRTUAL ST MARYS
St Mary's is a vital part of the life of our members, but what of those who can no longer attend regularly - perhaps for health reasons? Of course, folks stay in touch but we're going to start experimenting with other ways that St Mary's can help being in contact with God and each other.
So, our Sunday morning services are livestreamed on the facebook page (the link's at the top of the website)
And we're starting a series of Podcasts, christian chats between Richard Hamby and our Rector Emeritus, Lorne Tardy. Listen in!
Making A Difference
A time and space where to meet with God and the community, with stillness for prayer, music for worship, sermons for thought, within a framework of morning prayer or holy communion.
There's Sunday school for young ones, Youth Programs for teens. Toddlers and Babies welcome! There is a carpeted play area in the church.
8:30am Traditional Service (BCP) with music
10am Contemporary Service for all ages, with music and kids program
SUPPORTING OTHERS AND THE ENVIRONMENT
"Purses for a Purpose" donations of feminine products, "Soup for Souls" taking meals to the housebound, support of missions for the homeless, green justice teaching children to care for the environment and people, butterfly and bee hives, helping collecting, campaign and donating to local and international charity.
KIDS AND TEENS
We create a program to peak the interest of the individuals different ages, and nourish their creativity and spirituality. We usually join the beginning of the 10am service for a few songs, and then heads out to their respective groups until after the sermon.
Games, fun, Christian learning, spiritual development, supporting others and the environment.
Camp! For 20 years Marie Landry and a dedicated team have run a fantastic day camp in the early Summer, with up to 40 campers and almost as many alumni who return as volunteer teen helpers.
This year's theme - "Be the Change, Environment Edition" - featured music, crafts, making movies, science, art, outdoor games and other activities!
